Wind included.
Interior – The interior calls out to the driver with comfortable seating, ergonomic controls at your fingertips and a view that can’t be beat. As with every Volkswagen interior, the Eos is designed with f lexibility and comfort in mind. For once we can say, you won’t be blown away, thanks to a pop-up wind def lector integrated into the windshield and rear wind blocker installed over the rear seats to help reduce cabin wind turbulence in the front seats. And for not-so-convertible days – heatable front seats. Since half the fun of a droptop is having your friends along for the ride, Eos features easy-entry front seats so that rear seat passengers don’t have to be contortionists to get in or out of the back seat. Just as brilliant and practical is the white cockpit lighting and a fully upholstered luggage compartment that fits up to 0.29 cubic metres with the top up and 0.18 cubic metres with the top down. For those that like a few extras, there’s also available Climatronic® automatic climate control, 12-way power driver seat and more.
Engine – The Eos features a 2.0L turbocharged engine that will make the small hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. The Autobahn-tested, direct fuel-injected turbo engine puts out 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, making this 2-door coupe remarkably fun, no matter which position the roof is in. Available in either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission with race-inspired DSG – a dual-clutch system that shifts gears quicker than you can say “go.” If you think German engineering sounds sweet already, just wait until you hear it with the top down
Everything under one roof.
Ever since its grand opening the Eos convertible has been honoured and celebrated, but never equalled. Truth be told, it’s easy to see why. Not content just to create a hardtop convertible, our engineers decided to take it one step further by making it the world’s first hardtop convertible with a sunroof. The roof folds down into the trunk in 25 seconds.
Exterior – Volkswagen has a rich history of dropping the top. From the original Beetle convertible to the iconic Karmann Ghia to the classic Cabrio. Now, the culmination of all that rich droptop history comes in the shape of a 2-door hardtop convertible. Convertibles, just like any other species, evolve. And some faster than others. In fact, the Eos hardtop can open or close in a mere 25 seconds. In a stunning display of engineering, hydraulics in the top orchestrate a speedy, reliable transformation from hardtop to open air. When closed, the Coupe-Sunroof-Convertible (CSC) roof remains airtight and ultra-quiet at any speed, keeping the interior light and airy. The integrated sunroof opens wide for those days you want just a little bit of the outdoors.
