On Saturday, October 1st, Pfaff Automotive Partners played in the first annual Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer tournament for The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. This Dawn-to-Dusk road hockey event featured hundreds of teams that were all playing with the same goal in mind: to conquer cancer in our lifetime! In total, 1,576 players participated in this event with over 815 games played throughout the day.
Tying for first place against the Bench Warmers, Team Pfaff won 4 out of their 5 games played. Although ending with a tie, our guys scored the most goals out of the entire tournament! During the day, we also had the help and encouragement from our celebrity guest, Mike Murphy, former coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs and now senior VP of the NHL. Mike stood by the team cheering them on to their victory!
The Pfaff Team had a team goal of $12,500.00, but our players strived to go above and beyond and raise more than what was expected of them. In the end, our team raised $17,318.00 to help support The Princess Margaret and the Canadian Cancer Society. Special mention goes out to Eric Levitt from Pfaff Audi and Shawn Lanigan from Hallmark Toyota for raising the most money out of all Pfaff players! Good job guys! In total, the tournament raised an outstanding 2.4 million dollars for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. We are extremely proud to be a part of this great accomplishment and we can’t wait to do it again next year!
